So even if you’re bleary-eyed and fatigued, get up when she does if it’s to address morning sickness. Hold her hair up, kneel by her side, put a towel under her knees to prevent the floor’s hard impact.

3. Prohibit Alcohol and Caffeine
Many mothers already understand the mission of avoiding alcohol and caffeine for the sake of their future babies. But whether out of ignorance or temptation, you can help your pregnant wife regulate their consumption even further.
Sometimes, there may be alcohol or caffeine in the foods in your home without you knowing it! Though they might have had minimal impact on your wife’s health before the pregnancy, a pregnancy changes that level of impact.
This is truer for caffeine content. So scour through your household food supplies and make sure that you understand which foods have caffeine or alcohol. From there, you may want to label them or even get rid of them altogether.
4. Remove Stress Triggers
As a loving husband, it’s not fun witnessing your pregnant wife experience emotional hardships. From restrictions to hormones to worrying about her baby’s health, your wife has a lot weighing on her body and mind.
So you’ll want to help her relieve and prevent stress from settling in. Not only will this make the pregnancy journey easier on your wife, but it will also prevent high blood pressure. High blood pressure can lead to premature birth, which can threaten the health of your baby.

Exercise is great during pregnancy for several reasons. There is, of course, the benefit of relieving stress. But it can also help your wife improve her posture, which could relieve her of discomforts such as backaches and fatigue.
It can also help her build more stamina, which is crucial during labor and delivery. Either way, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology recommends 30 minutes of exercise a day for several days a week. Even better if they can exercise every day!
Of course, jump-squats and sprints are most likely out of the question. But exercise doesn’t have to be so high-impact to be effective. In fact, lower-impact exercises are encouraged for pregnant women to not harm themselves or their babies.
But walking, Pilates squats, and weight training are all great exercise options for your pregnant wife! As long as they enjoy themselves and can stick to the routine regularly.
However, it’s important to understand your wife’s limits too. This is especially true for those with diabetes, asthma, and heart disease. Pregnancy-related medical conditions such as a weak cervix, low placenta, and more can make excessive exercise do more harm than good.
